Principle 8: Monitoring and Assessment of the MC&I SFM require forest management to conduct monitoring at an appropriate to the scale and intensity of forest management to assess the condition of the forest within the FMU, yields of forest products, chain of custody, management activities and their social and environmental impacts.

This newly added chapter will address the requirement under Criterion 8.2 to incorporate information collected from annual monitoring activities conducted since 2018-2022 and consisted of following indicators:

  1. Yield of all forest products harvested
  2. Composition and observed changes in flora and fauna
  3. Environmental and social impacts of harvesting and other operations
  4. Costs and productivity of forest management
